Recording videos in the dark typically leads to low-quality, non-professional videos. While TikTok offers users a flashlight with the back camera, it does not include this feature for the front camera.
This doesn’t help when you’re recording videos using the front camera in the dark. Using a bright filter just doesn’t do the job!
Enable front flash on TikTok on iPhone
- Go to your iPhone’s Settings.
Go to Settings. - Scroll down and tap on Accessibility.
Tap on Accessibility - Here, you can access Display & Text Size.
Tap on Display & Size - Toggle Classic Invert on.
Turn on classic invert.
The Classic Invert setting will shift the colors of your screen and make it look brighter – imitating a flash-like feel. Once you’re done filming, turn this setting off. You will see the video you filmed has turned out better!

I’m Susan, the founder of Learn Social Media. As a caregiver I regularly work with vulnerable groups, such as with the elderly in nursing homes, and children with disabilities in schools. During my work, I noticed these groups struggle to keep up with new technologies.
When it comes to social media, this often led to feelings of isolation and “being left out”. The thrill I experienced creating TikTok dance videos with children with disabilities, or helping elderly folks reconnect with old friends and loved ones on Facebook, is what inspired me to launch this project.
