Although Reddit is known for its anonymity, your history on the site isn’t exactly anonymous. Anyone (even non-Redditors) can visit your profile and see your posts and comments.
Additionally, Reddit uses your activity log data to display targeted ads.

Clear browsing history on the Reddit app
This method clears your browsing history on Reddit.
You can only clear your browsing history on the Reddit app. Using a computer, you can clear your web browsing history locally.
- Open the Reddit app and click your profile icon.
Tap your profile icon. - Scroll down and select History from the dropdown.
Tap History. - Tap the ellipsis (three dots) on the top right.
Tap the ellipsis icon. - Select Clear history.
Tap Clear history.
Clear search history on the Reddit browser
This method deletes the search history from your Reddit account (i.e., the search queries you made).
- Click on the search box.
Click on the Search box. - Select (x) next to the search history you wish to delete.
Select X. - Repeat the steps for other data in your search history that you want to remove.
Delete comments and posts on the Reddit browser
This method allows you to delete comments and posts made from your account.
- Log in to your Reddit account and click your profile icon.
Click the profile icon. - Click Profile.
Select Profile. - Navigate to the comment or post you wish to delete by selecting the Comments or Posts tab.
Select Posts or Comments. - Select the ellipsis icon next to a comment or post.
Click the ellipsis icon. - Click Delete.
Select Delete. - Click Delete again to confirm.
Select Delete. - Repeat these steps to delete other comments or posts.
